KUMMER - SYMPOSIUM ' 2005

The Workshop will address selected problems of modern issues in the methods of theoretical and mathematical physics. It is sponsored by Austrian Academy of Sciences (Austria), Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Walter Thirring International Institute for Mathematical Physics, Astrophysics and Nuclear Investigations (Ukraine), Austro-Ukrainian Institute for Science and Technology (Austria), Bratislava Innovation Centre for Technology, Re-engineering and Business (Slovakia), Czech Research Centre (Czech Republic), Vienna University of Technology (Austria), Stephanyk Precarpathian National University (Ukraine) and Sebastopol National University of Technology (Ukraine).

Within the framework of the Workshop the Special Session will be devoted to celebrate the 70th birthday of the famous Austrian theoretician Prof. Wolfgang KUMMER one of the founders of modern gauge theory and quantum gravity. In a special Thirring Prize Ceremony the Thirring Prize Winner 2004 will be awarded.

Financial support

Pending the definite commitments of funding agencies we will be able to provide financial assistance covering accommodation and travel expenses for Ukrainian scientists. Those who wish to apply are requested to send a CV along with, but separate from, the Registration/Abstract Form before June 1st, 2005.

Registration and Proceedings Fees

The registration fee, which includes accommodation and the purchase of the proceedings (see: Proceedings), is Euro 200 for participants (with proceedings) or Euro 150 (without proceedings).

The registration fee will be collected on site when you pick up your conference material after arrival. It can be paid only in cash in American dollars or Euro. Apart from accommodation and Proceedings, the fee includes the Welcome Party and all coffee breaks. All other parts of the social programme have to be paid for separately.

Deadlines for Registration:

1st June - for registrations together with applications for financial support
1st July - otherwise

The submitted and accepted abstracts will be published in the conference programme/abstract booklet which will be distributed to participants on arrival along with the conference material.

Proceedings

The deadline for submissions to the conference proceedings is 30th December, 2005, however, to ensure swift publication we encourage participants to submit their manuscripts during (or even before) the conference.
