The XVII International Hutsulian Workshop
"Academic Security for Stability and Progress"
11-13 October 2007, Rakhiv--Ivano-Frankivsk (Ukraine)

ACADEMIC - SECURITY ' 2007

The Workshop will address selected problems of national programmes and initiatives in the field of security research; of preventing human rights violations of the UN Charter, international and regional law & of system analysis of corresponding educational-scientific processes in the geopolitical space of Europe. It is sponsored by Gesellschaft zur Förderung von Wissenschaft und Forschung (Austria), National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv); V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (Ukraine); Walter Thirring International Institute for Mathematical Physics, Astrophysics and Nuclear Investigations (Ukraine); Austro-Ukrainian Institute for Science and Technology (Austria); Slovak Research Sentre (Slovakia); the Czech Research Centre (Czech Republic) and Ukrainian Institute for Project Management(Ukraine).

The priority topics of the Workshop are


  1. Security, innovation and technology: How can security research reduce the threat posed by attackers and disasters?
  2. Security and infrastructure: How can security research reduce the vulnerability of society?
  3. Security and competitiveness: How can security research contribute to increasing competitiveness? (development of pioneer markets, innovative procurement, the corporate and economic perspective of security)
  4. Security and society: How can findings on the causes of human rights violations, corruptions, radicalization and threats, together with innovative technology and strategies for action, contribute to a plus of security?
  5. Category Methods of Mathematical Modelling: Informativeness & Bayesian decision-making problems in academic security systems
  6. Concepts of design of software for the system models of academic security in the geopolitical space of Europe
  7. Methodical support systems in the field of educational-scientific cooperation in academic security

In this file/form you have to insert your registration data and abstracts (the file/form contains more instructions).

Proceedings


The deadline for submissions to the conference proceedings is 30th November 2007, however, to assure swift publication we encourage the participants to submit their manuscripts already during (or even before) the Workshop.
