TIMPANI - MATHPHYS ' 2002

The Workshop will address selected problems of modern issues mathematical theories and their applications in physics. It is sponsored by Austrian Academy of Sciences (Austria), Bogoliubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Ukraine (Kyiv); International Centre for Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Walter Thirring International Institute for Mathematical Physics, Astrophysics and Nuclear Investigations (Ukraine); Austro-Ukrainian Institute for Science and Technology (Austria); Ludwig-Maximilian University in München (Germany), Bratislava Innovation Centre for Technology, Re-engineering and Business (Slovakia); Czech Research Centre (Czech Republic), Vienna University of Technology (Austria), Odessa National Polytechnic University (Ukraine), Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and Chernivtsi National University.

Within the framework of the Workshop the Special Meeting will be devoted to celebrate the 85th birthday of the famous Austrian mathematician Prof. Edmund HLAWKA

Financial support

Pending the definite commitments of funding agencies we will be able to provide financial assistance covering accomodation and travel expences to ukrainian scientists. Those who wish to apply are requested to send a CV along with but separate from the Registrations/Abstract Form till August 15, 2002.

Registration and Abstracts Fees

The registration fee, which includes accomodation and the purchase of the proceeding (see: Proceedings), is Euro 600 for participants (with proceedings) of Euro 400 (no proccedings) for graduate students.

The registrations fee will be collected on site when you pick up your conference material after arrival. It can be paid only in cach in American dollars or Euro.

Apart from the purchase of accomodation and a proceedings the fee includes the Welcome Party, a reception with the HLAWKA Celebration  Lecture, and all coffee breaks. All other parts of the social program have to be paid for separately.

Registration procedure and submission of abstracts

Along with this Circular we can send to you a separate file (or to fax it, if you do not use e-mail) with subject TIMPANI Registr./Abstracts. Please, ask TIMPANI Registr./Abstracts file by e-mail (mss@bitp.kiev.ua) or TIMPANI Registr./Abstracts form by fax (+380-44-2665998). In this file/form you have to insert your registration data and abstracts (the file/form contains more instructions).

Deadline for returning registration and Abstract Form:

15th August for registrations together with applications for financial support.
30th September otherwise.

After returning the completed file (or printout, if yor do not use e-mail) to us you will receive a confirmation of registration from us. The submitted and accepted abstracts will be published in the conference program/abstract booklet which will be distributed to the participants on site along with the conference material.

Proceedings


The deadline for submissions to the conference proceedings is 30th December 2002, however, to assure swift publication we encourage the participants to submit their manuscripts already during (or even before) the conference.
