Coming to MONS

Mons is 50min away by train from Bruxelles Midi international train station and 1h and 15min away by train from Brussels Zaventem international airport. Direct trains connect the airport to Mons every hour; otherwise you can also reach Mons changing in the station Bruxelles Midi .

The workshop venue can be reached from Mons train station within less than 15 minutes of walk.

Organization of the workshop

Venue

The CARROLL WORKSHOP will be held at Houdain campus of the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons (auditorium 23). This historical building was the heart of the old Ecole des Mines du Hainaut, which used to train engineers of this coal-mining region and from which the UMONS Faculty of Engineering developed. It is located 9, Rue de Houdain, 7000 Mons .

Seminar room:
Once you get to the black gates of the UMONS building on the 9 rue du Houdain, Mons, walk next to the statue of the two founders of the polytechnique school and go to the main entrance in front of you. From the entrance hall, turn right where some signs will point to the second floor and the room number 23. There will also be some signs "Follow the white rabbit". Once you have climbed the flights of stairs up to the second floor, take a breath and turn left where you will spot the room 23.

Conference dinner

The social dinner will be held at Restaurant Quai 5 situated in the Van der Valk congress buildings.
