The CARROLL WORKSHOP will be held in TU Wien's panoramic event room TUtheSky (BA 11 B07), located in Getreidemarkt 9, 1060 Wien, BA Gebäude, 11th floor .

Conference dinner

A social dinner will be organized at the famous and historical Café Central in the center of Vienna on Thursday the 17th of February.

Covid regulations

Covid & travel to Austria [ Update January 31 ]

As of now, traveling to Austria is allowed provided the following rules apply (see the official website of Austrian government).

To enter Austria, the "2-G+" rule is currently in place. In addition to proof of vaccination/recovery, you need a negative PCR test OR proof of a booster jab. NB: On Monday, 24 January, Austria removed its list of virus variant countries (previously including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway). This means, for everyone arriving from those countries, the same entry rules apply as for travellers from all other countries.

Important note for participants: Due to constant changes of sanitary regulations, we cannot exclude the possibility of a last-minute cancellation of the workshop. All participants should therefore book rebookable/refundable flight tickets or tickets which include a Covid cancellation insurance. Also, notice that PCR tests cannot be refunded.

Covid rules while being in Austria [ Update January 31 ]

Austria shortens Validity of Vaccination on 1 February: 2-dose vaccinations are valid for 270 days to enter Austria. However, to prove your "2-G" status during your stay IN Austria, from 1 February 2022, the validity of your 2nd vaccination will be reduced to 180 days. The booster jab remains valid for 270 days.

The "2-G" rule (proof of vaccination/recovery) is currently in effect in Austria. FFP2 masks are mandatory in most areas.

• For hotels, restaurants, leisure centres, gyms, cultural institutions (cinemas, theatres etc.), ski lifts/cable cars and body-related services (such as hairdressers) proof of full vaccination (2 jabs) / recovery is mandatory (children under the age of 12 are exempt).
• 2-dose-vaccinations are valid for 180 days after the second dose. After that a booster jab is required, which is valid for 270 days.
  Attention: The 1-dose vaccine by Johnson & Johnson requires a booster since 3 January 2022.
• FFP2 masks are required in all public areas in enclosed spaces, including restaurants (when not seated), hotels and cable cars. When 2-m social distancing with people not living in your household is not possible, FFP2 masks are also compulsory outdoors.
• Restaurants/cafés/inns have a curfew at Midnight. Bars and clubs remain closed.

Covid rules during the workshop:

As of today, the following rules of conduct at TU Wien include:

• FFP2-Masks: An FFP2 mask is mandatory to use in public areas at the TU Vienna (e.g. corridors, courtyards, etc.) and must be used during the workshop ((also at the seat).
• Participants are admitted only if they present proof according to the 2-G-rule (vaccinated or recovered - no PCR test required).
• If you are unwell or ill, it is absolutely necessary to refrain from being present on the TU Campus.
