Classical Conformal Blocks, Isomonodromy and Black Holes

Abstract:
AdS/CFT correspondence has opened a new window of understanding of quantum black holes, especially in the extremal/supersymmetric limit (zero temperature). However, the non-extremal case still remains elusive. In this talk, we are going to discuss recent developments on the connection between black holes, CFT and the so-called isomonodromic deformations. We will show how isomonodromic deformations allow us to have a better understanding of quasinormal modes of non-extremal rotating black holes. We will also discuss how the CFT interpretation of isomonodromic deformations might shed new light on the description of black holes in the AdS3/CFT2 correspondence.
