| The Austro-Ukrainian Institute
for Science and Technology (AUI) was established
in December 1998 in Vienna (Austria). AUI was
founded with the aim of providing a meeting place
for leading experts in the international
scientific community and nurturing the activities
in the field of cooperative research, technology
transfer and innovation projects. The institute
aims to stimulate intellectual exchange between
scientists from the European Union and the rest
of Europe in the areas combining scientific,
technological, industrial, economic, social and
cultural aspects. AUI is program-oriented and
welcomes particularly to make a proposal for a
programme under the Seventh Framework Programme
2007-2011.
The scientific policy and selection of
programmes of the Institute is based upon the
recommendation of its Executive Board and

AUI's expert consultants manage a wide range
of tasks and services, such as:
- identifying potential Austrian and
Ukrainian parties interested in
transnational RTD cooperation;
- creating awareness and informing on EU
and international RTD activities;
- advising clients on procedural,
administrative and legal aspects of EU
programmes;
- assisting in the search for partners in
Austria, Ukraine and other eligible
countries;
- assisting in preparing proposals;
- supporting the dissemination of research
results and the transfer of new
technologies;
- offering training courses on EU RTD
programmes, the preparation of proposals
and the management of transnational RTD
projects;
- advising other countries on the setting
up of information and assistance systems
for transnational RTD cooperation.
