Abstract submission of RDT Project Proposal
Abstract submission
An abstract must be presented as follows:
- Title
- Presenting author with institution name and e-mail
- Other author(s)
- Your text (around 10 lines, including formulae)
- A small (1 to 3) number of references
Please read also carefully the following technical instructions before trying
to submit your text.
All parts of the form must be plain LaTeX (or plain TeX) constructs,
otherwise submitting the form will be impossible. But you should also keep
in
mind that you are requested to submit an abstract, not an article.
Thus:
-
all commands which usually appear in the preamble of the document
(like \documentclass{article}, \usepackage{myownstyle},
\title{...}, \author{...}, and so on) must be excluded;
you are requested instead to enter all the informations about the author(s)
in specific fields of the form
-
all sectioning commands (such as \chapter{...},
\section{...}, \newpage, etc.) are forbidden
-
you should not use cross-references, nor bibliographic references
(commands like \label{...}, \ref{...}, etc.);
if you decide to cite some other paper, you can find dedicated fields on
the form to do it
-
all commands regarding special formats or graphics stuff
(such as \usepackage{a4}, \usepackage{pstricks},
\includegraphics{myfigure}, etc.) are forbidden, nor you can
include figures
-
in the spirit of giving an uniform typographical aspect to all the
abstracts, you should avoid font or sizing commands like
\small{...},
\huge{...}, \magnification 1200
-
you cannot use math symbols other than those defined in the base LaTeX
package; in particular, neither \Box nor \square are
defined: please use \partial^2 or something alike as a
workaround
-
you cannot enter too many characters (1500 in particular for the text
of the abstract).
The form checks every field of your input; thus, please consider that
you will not be able to submit the form until you try to do things which
appear in the list here above.
To summarize: you are asked to kindly focus your attention on the contents
of your abstract,
rather then on graphical or typesetting details.
In the end, if you submit your form and the page complains for wrong TeX or
LaTeX code, please be patient and check your input once again; if the error
persists, please try to simplify and/or adapt your input until the page
accepts it. We would also discourage you from entering your written text all
at a time: it's much better entering it in a progressive way, so to identify
more easily where the errors are.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
